Aishwarya K, aged 26, was discovered hanging inside her home in Mallasandra, near Bagalagunte, on Thursday morning. The homemaker had entered into matrimony with Likhit S, an employee of a private company, on November 27, making her married life barely a month old at the time of her death.
Her grieving parents, Krishnamurthy and Mamata, have filed a formal complaint with the Bagalagunte police. They have categorically accused Likhit and his family members of murdering their daughter and then attempting to stage the scene to look like a suicide.
Allegations of Dowry Harassment
The central allegation from the victim's family points to relentless dowry demands. Krishnamurthy stated that his daughter was being harassed by her husband and in-laws over dowry.
