Bengaluru Rowdy-Sheeter Brutally Murdered by Helmeted Assailants in Front of Mother

A shocking and violent incident unfolded in Bengaluru's Thanisandra area on Wednesday night, where a 28-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang of six assailants right in front of his mother. The brutal attack occurred at Amarajyothi Layout, leaving the local community in fear and highlighting ongoing criminal tensions in the region.

Details of the Fatal Attack

The victim, identified as Pawan Kumar, was a known rowdy-sheeter with the DJ Halli police station. According to police reports, he was involved in three serious criminal cases, including a murder that took place in July 2023. Pawan had been released on bail approximately eight months prior to this incident, raising questions about his activities since then.

On the night of the attack, Pawan's mother, Komala, had called him around 9:30 PM to check on his whereabouts. He informed her that he was on his way home. While she was feeding her grandchild in the compound of their house, Komala noticed six men arriving on three motorcycles. All of them were wearing helmets, which immediately aroused her suspicion as it was highly unusual for people in their locality to do so.

Mother's Harrowing Account

In a heart-wrenching statement, Komala described the terrifying moments that followed. "I ran towards the gate as soon as I saw them," she said. "The miscreants blocked the entrance completely, preventing any escape. They chased my son to the gate and hacked him to death right in front of my eyes. It was a nightmare I will never forget."

Komala added that Pawan ran a bakery in Rajanukunte, located in the Bengaluru Rural district, suggesting he had attempted to lead a legitimate business life despite his criminal past. However, this did not shield him from the violent retribution that ultimately claimed his life.

Police Investigation and Community Impact

Local authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the murder. Given Pawan's history as a rowdy-sheeter, police are exploring multiple angles, including possible connections to his previous criminal cases and rival gang activities. The use of helmets by the assailants indicates a premeditated plan to conceal their identities, complicating the search for suspects.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the Thanisandra community, with residents expressing concern over the brazen nature of the attack. The fact that it occurred in a residential area, witnessed by family members, underscores the escalating violence and lawlessness in certain parts of Bengaluru.

As the investigation progresses, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the ongoing challenges in managing rowdy elements and ensuring public safety in urban areas.
