Tragic Motorbike Accident Claims Lives of Two Bengaluru Youths on State Highway
In a devastating incident on Sunday night, two young men from Bengaluru lost their lives after the sports motorbike they were testing crashed into a slow-moving tractor. The accident occurred near the Gudemaranahalli handpost in Kunigal, along the busy Bengaluru–Mangaluru state highway.
Victims Identified as Residents of Nandini Layout
The deceased have been identified as Chandan Gowda G and Mahesh O, both aged 22 years and residents of Nandini Layout in north Bengaluru. According to police reports, the two youths were shifted to Kunigal Hospital by midnight, where they were declared brought dead upon arrival.

Family members revealed that Chandan Gowda had recently purchased the sports motorbike and intended to take it for a long ride to fine-tune the engine. On Sunday night, the youths informed their families of their plan before leaving their homes. As they reached the Gudemaranahalli handpost, Chandan Gowda failed to notice the tractor moving ahead and rammed into it at high speed.
Police officials stated, "Though they wore helmets, they sustained severe injuries to their ribs, neck, and hands, causing severe internal bleeding." Authorities also confirmed that there was no trace of alcohol in their blood, ruling out intoxication as a factor in the crash.
