On Wednesday morning, local residents made a grim discovery when they found the child's body in a canal. The villagers immediately recovered the body and alerted the police authorities. The victim was rushed to a government hospital for postmortem examination. The doctors who examined her confirmed the brutal sexual assault before her death.
Timeline of a Tragedy: From Disappearance to Discovery
The sequence of events, as narrated by the girl's mother, paints a chilling picture. On Tuesday evening around 8 pm, the child was sleeping inside their home. Her mother stepped out briefly to visit a neighbour's house. It was during this short interval that she received a call from her husband, who works outside Bihar, inquiring about their daughter.
When the mother returned inside, she was horrified to find her daughter missing. The family promptly informed the police, who launched an extensive search operation throughout the night. However, the search proved futile until the next morning when her body was discovered.
Severe Injuries and a Named Suspect
