A heated confrontation erupted at the Pharmacy Council office located within Bhopal's JP Hospital campus on Friday, leading to the filing of two separate police complaints from both staff members and a young visitor. The incident, captured in viral videos, has exposed tensions surrounding registration procedures at the government office.
Staff Version: Aggressive Behavior and Threats
According to the initial complaint filed by Gopal Singh Yadav, 52, an accountant at the Pharmacy Council office, the incident began around 11 am when security guard Jitendra Bairagi, 30 asked some youths to form a proper queue outside the office. One individual, identified as Tushar, allegedly became aggressive and pushed the guard.
Yadav's report states that Tushar assaulted Bairagi with fists, resulting in a minor head injury for the security personnel. The complaint further alleges that Tushar had visited the office the previous day demanding to meet the registrar and had created similar disturbances.
The staff claimed that Tushar entered the office premises, verbally abused employees, attempted to damage computer equipment, disrupted official work, and even threatened to kill staff members before leaving the scene.
Youth's Counter-Allegations: Frustration and Physical Assault
In a contrasting narrative, 23-year-old Tushar Sonare filed a counter-complaint stating that he had simply visited the office around 1 pm to inquire about his Pharmacy Council registration and was waiting in queue when the confrontation began.
Tushar claimed he had been making rounds for his registration for the past month and expressed frustration with the delayed response from office officials. He alleged that the security guard refused to allow him to meet the concerned officer, abused him verbally, and physically grabbed his collar.
According to Tushar's version, when he pulled himself free from the guard's grip, Bairagi fell backward and hit a channel gate, sustaining an injury. He stated that following this, the entire office staff surrounded and assaulted him physically.
Mobile Phone Seizure and Injuries
Tushar further alleged that he had recorded a video expressing his frustration with the office's delayed response, which angered the staff members. He claimed that a staffer snatched his mobile phone, forced him to delete the video, and threatened him with consequences.
The young man reported that both the staffer and security guard, along with other employees, dragged him inside the office and assaulted him, causing injuries to his face, neck, chest, and abdomen areas.
Habibganj SHO Sanjeev Chouksey confirmed that both parties have filed counter complaints and that a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the exact sequence of events and establish responsibility for the violent altercation.
