In a concerning incident from Bhopal, two teenage students have mysteriously vanished from their school hostel, with police launching a search operation and registering a kidnapping case. The two boys, both around 16 years old, remain untraced three days after they were last seen.
Disappearance After a Night of Misconduct
The incident unfolded at a government school hostel located in the Ratibad area. According to police reports, on the night of December 12, a teacher caught the two Class 9 students engaged in some mischief. The teacher reprimanded them, instructed them to go to sleep, and warned that their parents would be informed about their behavior the following morning.
However, when the school authorities conducted their rounds on the morning of December 13, they made a startling discovery: both students were missing from the campus. An immediate check was initiated, but the boys were nowhere to be found on the school premises.
Families Alerted, Police Complaint Lodged
The school management promptly contacted the families of the minors, who are residents of the Berasia area. To their growing alarm, the families confirmed that the boys had not returned home either. With both the hostel and their homes ruling out their presence, the situation turned serious.
Acting on a formal complaint lodged by a school teacher, the Ratibad police registered a missing persons report. Going a step further, the police also added sections related to kidnapping against unknown persons, indicating the gravity with which they are treating the case. A search for the two minors has been launched.
Ongoing Search and Investigation
As of Monday, three days after the boys went missing, police confirmed they have not yet been traced. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities likely exploring all angles, including the possibility that the boys left voluntarily after being scared of the reprimand, or something more sinister.
