A 28-year-old woman from Bhopal has lodged a serious police complaint against her fiancé, accusing him of rape under the pretext of marriage and demanding a substantial dowry of Rs 15 lakh. She is currently repaying this loan in instalments, adding financial strain to her ordeal.

Later, the accused allegedly escalated his demands, insisting on an additional Rs 12 lakh, stating that dowry was necessary for the marriage to proceed. When the woman and her family expressed their inability to afford this amount, the accused and his parents reportedly began pressuring them relentlessly over the dowry issue.
