In a shocking incident in Bihar's Madhubani district, the vehicle of state Labour Resources Minister Arun Shankar Prasad was allegedly pelted with stones on Sunday evening. The attack occurred while the minister was visiting the residence of a road accident victim in Tahar village under the Khajauli police station limits. Police confirmed on Monday that the windshield of the minister's car was damaged, but Prasad escaped unhurt as he was standing at the gate of the victim's house at the time of the incident.

Details of the Incident

According to a police statement, the minister, who is also the local MLA, had gone to offer condolences to the family of a man killed in a road accident on Friday night. During his visit, some anti-social elements allegedly provoked a group of women present at the spot and positioned them in front of the minister's vehicle. The group then began raising demands and damaged the vehicle's windshield by throwing stones. Police personnel deployed at the scene ensured the minister's safety and escorted his vehicle away from the area.
