The body of an unidentified married woman, estimated to be around 35 years old, was recovered from a pond at Dhobi Ghatwa in Ratnamala ward no. 33 of Bagaha Municipal Council area in West Champaran district on Sunday. The police immediately sent the body to a government hospital for postmortem examination.
Police Investigation Underway
Town police station in charge Shailesh Kumar stated that the woman appeared to be married, but her identity had not yet been established. "Efforts are being made to identify the woman through nearby police stations and other channels," he said. SDPO Nihar Bhushan added that police were probing the case from all possible angles pending the postmortem report.
The incident has sparked concern among local residents, who are awaiting further details. Authorities are coordinating with surrounding areas to trace the woman's family. The postmortem report is expected to provide crucial clues regarding the cause of death.
