Bokaro Administration Implements Comprehensive Security Plan for Upcoming Festivals

The district administration of Bokaro has announced a robust security framework to ensure peaceful celebrations during the upcoming festivals of Ram Navami on March 26 and Eid. This initiative includes adequate police deployment, strategic barricading, extensive CCTV coverage, and advanced drone surveillance to maintain law and order throughout the city.

High-Level Peace Committee Meeting Sets Guidelines

A crucial district-level peace committee meeting was convened at the Collectorate, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh. During this meeting, officials were given clear directives to enhance coordination among various departments and closely monitor social media platforms for any potential rumors or misinformation that could disrupt communal harmony.

Key directives issued include:

  • Ensuring that all processions adhere strictly to traditional routes without deviation.
  • Maintaining flags within the prescribed height limits during Ram Navami processions to prevent safety hazards and traffic disruptions.
  • Implementing immediate action against individuals found spreading misleading information on social media.

Emphasis on Communal Unity and Traditional Celebrations

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha passionately appealed for communal harmony, highlighting Bokaro's longstanding reputation for social unity. He urged members of all communities to come together and celebrate these festivals as occasions to strengthen goodwill and mutual respect.

"Just as people traditionally share sevai during Eid and distribute laddoos on Ram Navami, these festivals should serve as opportunities to reinforce the bonds of harmony within our society," Jha stated, emphasizing the cultural significance of shared celebrations.

Administrative Coordination and Proactive Measures

The administration has mandated close coordination among officials to preempt any inconveniences during the festive period. This includes:

  1. Regular monitoring of social media to swiftly identify and counteract rumors.
  2. Ensuring that all security personnel are adequately trained and deployed at strategic locations.
  3. Maintaining open communication channels with community leaders to address concerns proactively.

Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh reinforced the commitment to public safety, noting that the integrated use of technology like drones and CCTVs will provide real-time surveillance capabilities, enabling quicker responses to any emergent situations.

The collective efforts aim to foster an environment where residents can celebrate their festivals peacefully, upholding Bokaro's tradition of communal amity and social cohesion.
