Bokaro SP Inspects Rakshak Riders, Shifts Officer Amid Crime Crackdown

Bokaro: Superintendent of Police Nathu Singh Meena conducted an inspection of the Rakshak Riders late on Sunday, initiating checking drives and special drink-driving enforcement at multiple locations. Suspicious vehicles and individuals were screened during the operation, and officers were directed to enhance surveillance and crime-prevention measures.

Midnight Inspections Intensify Night Policing

The SP's midnight inspections came as the district police have intensified night policing over the past few days. In a related development on Monday, Naveen Kumar Singh, the officer-in-charge of Balidih police station, was transferred to police lines following complaints against him. A sub-inspector was also placed under line closure. The SP stated, "We are receiving complaints against him, thus he was closed."

Burglary in Chira Chas

Meanwhile, burglars targeted the locked home of Vijay Kumar Mishra in Chira Chas while he was in Vellore for medical treatment. The thieves made off with jewelry, a television, inverter, induction cooker, and other valuables worth several lakhs. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Chas, Vedant Shankar, assured, "We will soon nab the thieves."
