A bomb threat received via email led to the swift evacuation and a thorough search of the Bandra magistrate court in Mumbai on Thursday morning. The alarming message prompted immediate action from local law enforcement and specialist units.

Swift Police Response to the Threat

Upon receiving the threatening email, teams from the Nirmal Nagar police station and the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) rushed to the court premises. The area was quickly evacuated as a precautionary measure while security personnel conducted a meticulous inspection of the building and its surroundings.

No Suspicious Items Found

After an extensive search operation, the authorities confirmed that no suspicious object was found on the premises. The all-clear was given, allowing normal activities to resume at the court. This incident was not isolated, as similar threat emails were also received at the Bombay High Court and the Esplanade court in south Mumbai. Both those locations were also checked, with nothing untoward discovered.
