Rajasthan High Court Benches in Jaipur and Jodhpur Evacuated Following Bomb Threats

The Jaipur Bench and the principal Bench in Jodhpur of the Rajasthan High Court faced a major security scare on Tuesday morning when bomb threats were received, leading to the immediate evacuation of both judicial premises. According to police reports, a threatening email was sent, mirroring a pattern observed in previous similar incidents.

Swift Security Response and Evacuation Measures

Upon receiving the alert, the administration promptly notified police officials and decided to delay court hearings until a comprehensive security sweep could be conducted as a precautionary measure. Bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and senior police officers were quickly deployed to the high court locations in both Jaipur and Jodhpur. A meticulous search of the main buildings was undertaken to ensure safety.

Judicial staff, advocates, and litigants were evacuated from the premises to minimize risk, while fire brigade and ambulance services were placed on standby to respond to any emergencies. Police teams meticulously combed every corner of the facilities, leaving no area unchecked.

No Suspicious Objects Found, Investigation Ongoing

After an extensive search operation, no suspicious objects were discovered at either site. Jodhpur Police Commissioner Om Prakash confirmed to media sources that the search yielded no threats, and DCP (Jaipur South) Rajarshi Raj Varma similarly reported no findings at the Jaipur Bench. With the all-clear given, court proceedings resumed later in the day.

Police authorities have stated that an investigation into the source and details of the threatening email is currently underway. This incident highlights ongoing security challenges and the need for vigilance in public institutions.
