Tragic Car Fire Claims Life of Four-Year-Old Boy in Indore
A devastating incident unfolded in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a four-year-old boy after a parked car he was inside caught fire. The event occurred in the Simrol police station area, approximately 22 kilometers from the district headquarters, during the early hours.
Details of the Incident
According to police officials, the child, identified as Chirag, was sitting alone in the vehicle while his father, Sanjay Badhiya, had stepped out. Badhiya was reportedly nearby, attending to another vehicle equipped with a sound system. "The child, Chirag, was sitting inside the parked car. His father, Sanjay Badhiya, had left the engine on and was standing outside supervising work on his other vehicle fitted with a sound system," stated Simrol police house officer (SHO) Kuldip Khatri.
Rapid Spread of the Fire
The fire broke out suddenly and spread with alarming speed, engulfing the car within minutes. Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that a short circuit may have been the cause of the blaze. Local residents attempted to extinguish the flames, but the fire intensified rapidly, making it uncontrollable before help could arrive.

By the time fire brigade and police teams reached the scene, the child had already succumbed to severe burns. Authorities have registered a case, and a thorough probe is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire. "A case has been registered, and a probe is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire," confirmed Badhiya.
