A tragic fire broke out at a religious seminary in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Tuesday, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old boy and injuries to three others, officials confirmed.

The fire erupted at Faizan Baba Hyder Rishi Darul Aloom, located on Court Road in Anantnag. According to officials, the flames engulfed a section of the building where young students were present. Four boys sustained burn injuries in the incident and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
One of the injured, identified as Bilal Ahmad, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The condition of the other three boys is reported to be stable, and they are receiving medical care.
Response and Investigation
Fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control after several hours of effort. Authorities have stated that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
The local administration has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured all possible support to the injured. The seminary, which serves as a residential religious school, has been temporarily closed pending further inquiry.
