Body of 9-Year-Old Boy Exhumed in Ambedkarnagar Following School Negligence Allegations
In a tragic incident that has shocked the community, the body of a 9-year-old boy was exhumed on Friday in the Malipur area of Ambedkarnagar district. This action followed serious allegations of negligence against the administration of a private school, where the child was a student.
Suspicious Circumstances Surrounding the Child's Death
The young boy, identified as Ansh, was a UKG student at Jai Narayan Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Malipur. He passed away under suspicious circumstances earlier this week after reportedly falling ill during school hours. Ansh was the only son of Hiralal and Shashikala, a visually impaired couple residing in Ashanandpur Barauli village.
According to the grieving family, Ansh attended school on Tuesday when he suddenly became ill around 10am and began vomiting. They have made serious allegations that the school administration failed to inform them about their son's condition and did not arrange for timely medical treatment, leaving the child in distress for several hours.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Tragedy
The family's account details a heartbreaking chain of events:
- After school closed at 3pm, Ansh was sent home on the school bus
- He was dropped approximately 500 meters from his house
- Upon reaching home, his condition had significantly deteriorated
- He was taken to a local doctor for treatment
- Despite being brought back after receiving medical attention, he died later that evening
Following the tragedy, the family buried Ansh's body on the banks of the Manjusha river on the same day. However, the mother, Shashikala, submitted a formal complaint to the SDM Jalalpur, seeking action against school manager Suresh Agarwal for alleged negligence.
Official Investigation and Exhumation Process
District Magistrate Anupam Shukla ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter. On Thursday morning, in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Amarnath and police officials, the body was exhumed and sent for a post-mortem examination. A panel of two doctors conducted the autopsy under videography to ensure proper documentation of the procedure.
Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Shyamdev confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the school manager. Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage from the school premises as part of their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child's death.
School Administration's Response and Denial
School manager Suresh Agarwal has strongly denied all allegations of negligence. He stated that the child boarded the school bus in normal condition and that the administration acted responsibly throughout. Agarwal claimed that the institution is being unfairly targeted for political reasons, suggesting ulterior motives behind the accusations.
The case has drawn significant attention to child safety protocols in educational institutions and the responsibilities of school administrations during medical emergencies involving students. The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic loss of a young life.
