A 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his younger brother following a quarrel over liquor in Ujjain’s Dewas Gate area late Friday night. The accused fled after the attack.

Incident Details

According to police, Manish Tatwal was arguing with his mother, Shagunbai, at their residence in Hiramil Ki Chawl after she refused to give him money to buy liquor. His younger brother, Sagar alias Nana, returned home and tried to intervene, but the argument escalated into a physical fight.

The brothers came out of the house while fighting, during which Sagar allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Manish twice in the chest before fleeing. Their mother, with the help of neighbours, rushed the injured man to the hospital around midnight, where he succumbed to his injuries.
