Two Killed, Multiple Injured in Horrific Budaun Road Accident
A devastating road accident in Budaun district has claimed two lives and left more than half a dozen people with serious injuries. The tragic incident occurred when a private bus carrying wedding guests was violently struck from behind by a speeding wheat harvester on the Budaun-Delhi road.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The collision took place late on Sunday night within the jurisdiction of the Mujariya police station. According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, the wheat harvester was traveling at high speed when it rammed into the rear of the bus with tremendous force.
The impact was so severe that it completely smashed the bus's rear portion, ejecting several passengers along with their seats onto the roadway. The bus was transporting a marriage party from the Usahait area to Kolhai village in Mujariya at the time of the accident.
Casualties and Emergency Response
The deceased have been identified as Sajid (25) and Farhan (12), both of whom died at the scene according to police confirmation. More than six injured individuals were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College via ambulance, where their condition remains serious.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hridayesh Kumar Katheria stated, "The injured were immediately shifted to the medical college where doctors declared two persons dead." Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Vipin Kumar confirmed the fatalities and reported that six injured persons are currently undergoing treatment at the facility.
Police Action and Traffic Restoration
Upon receiving information about the accident, police teams promptly reached the location and conducted comprehensive rescue operations. The authorities worked through the night to clear both vehicles from the roadway, successfully restoring normal traffic movement in the affected area.
