The incident took place on January 21, when Vipin, a resident of Lalru in Mohali who works as a manager at Enter Enterprises located at SCO nos. 156-159 in Sector 9-C, noticed a Bullet motorcycle parked in front of an IVF hospital within the same complex. This area is specifically reserved for ambulance access, crucial for emergency medical services.
Upon asking the motorcycle owner, identified as Aarush Sharma, a resident of Sector 50-C, to move the vehicle, Vipin was met with immediate hostility. Aarush allegedly began abusing Vipin verbally and also used offensive language against his employer, Jora Singh, escalating the situation rapidly.
Violent Escalation and Police Intervention
The confrontation turned violent when Aarush reportedly called five to six friends who were inside a nightclub operating in the basement of the building. This group then physically assaulted Vipin, causing significant injuries. During the scuffle, one of the accused allegedly shouted instructions to retrieve a weapon from a vehicle, threatening to kill Vipin, which added a severe criminal dimension to the attack.
In a quick response, Vipin managed to alert the authorities by dialing the emergency number 112. Police personnel reached the spot promptly, and Vipin was subsequently admitted to GMSH, Sector 16, for necessary medical treatment.
