Ola Electric has significantly broadened its electric scooter offerings with the introduction of the new S1 X+ 5.2 kWh variant. This latest model is designed to enhance long-range electric mobility accessibility for consumers across India. The e-scooter has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,29,999, ex-showroom, positioning it as a competitive option in the growing EV market.
Limited-Time Pricing and Key Specifications
The attractive price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh is valid only until April 15, 2026, after which it is expected to increase. This limited-period pricing strategy encourages potential buyers to act swiftly to secure the scooter at this cost-effective rate. The highlight of the S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is its impressive claimed IDC range of 320 km, making it one of the longest-range scooters available in its segment today.
Performance-wise, the scooter is equipped with an 11 kW mid-drive motor paired with an integrated motor control unit, enabling it to achieve a top speed of 125 kmph. For safety, it features advanced Brake-by-Wire technology along with a front disc brake, ensuring reliable stopping power and enhanced control for riders.
Indigenous Technology and Broader Portfolio
A significant aspect of this launch is the use of Ola's indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell. This move represents the company's push to integrate its in-house battery technology into more mass-market products, potentially reducing reliance on imported components and boosting local manufacturing. The existing S1 X+ with a 4 kWh battery remains on sale at Rs 1,02,499, offering a claimed range of 242 km. Additionally, the company's Gen 3 lineup includes models like the S1 Pro and S1 Pro+, available with multiple battery options, catering to diverse consumer needs. The S1 X range continues to serve budget-focused buyers, ensuring a comprehensive selection for various market segments.
