Churu Police Apprehend Two Rohit Godara Gang Members in Attempted Murder Case
Sardarshahar police in Churu district have successfully arrested two alleged members of the notorious Rohit Godara gang, who were wanted in connection with a serious attempt-to-murder case. The arrests were made on Saturday, marking a significant breakthrough for law enforcement in the region.
Details of the Arrest and Accused
The two accused individuals have been identified as Subhash Saran alias Bhala, aged 25, a resident of Ramsiser Bhedwaliya, and Dinesh, aged 19, a resident of Bhawandesar. Both hail from Churu district and were apprehended from Umargaon in Gujarat, where they had reportedly fled after the incident.
Police officials stated that the duo is wanted for their involvement in a violent attack on a jewellery trader in Ramsiser Bhedwaliya village, which occurred on January 24. Following the assault, the accused absconded from the state, evading capture until now.
Police Investigation and Gang Connections
Madanlal Bishnoi, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sardarshahar police station, provided insights into the investigation. He revealed that the arrests were made possible through a combination of technical evidence and crucial inputs from informers. This coordinated effort allowed police to track down the suspects in Gujarat.
SHO Bishnoi further disclosed that Subhash Saran is an active member of the Rohit Godara gang and is wanted in at least two other criminal cases. One of these cases is registered in Kuchaman City, while the other is in Haryana, highlighting his involvement in cross-border criminal activities.
Reward and Law Enforcement Efforts
In a move to expedite the capture of Subhash Saran, the Churu Superintendent of Police had previously announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for any information leading to his arrest. This incentive underscores the seriousness with which authorities are pursuing members of the Rohit Godara gang and their associates.
The successful arrest of these two individuals not only brings them to justice for the attempted murder case but also disrupts the operations of the gang in the region. Police are continuing their investigations to uncover further details and possibly link the accused to other criminal activities.
This development serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by Rajasthan police to combat organized crime and ensure public safety in districts like Churu. The use of technical surveillance and informer networks has proven effective in tracking down fugitives, even when they flee across state borders.
