Family members revealed that the cousins had left their home around 9 pm Wednesday for their farm in Meghapar village, approximately 5 kilometers away. They had waited for a brief pause in the rainfall before embarking on their journey. Tragically, this timing coincided with the presence of the deadly electrical hazard on their route.

The incident remained undiscovered through the night. It was only on Thursday morning around 10 am that passers-by noticed the charred bodies on the road and alerted authorities. Police teams along with electricity department officials promptly arrived at the scene.
The victims were identified as Vikram Singh, 25, son of Aamb Singh, and Raju Singh, 20, son of Chandan Singh, both residents of Megha village in Jaisalmer district.
