A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Monday when a 34-year-old CRPF employee, Mahadev Nazirkar, was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Pune-Solapur highway near Indapur, approximately 138 kilometers from Pune city. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The officer stated that the driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision and fled the scene.
