A car repair workshop owner and three of his workers were allegedly assaulted by a group of men in Dadri on Friday night after they refused to repair a fault in a vehicle's air-conditioning system. The incident occurred at a workshop owned by Yusuf Khan.
Incident Details
According to Khan, two men arrived at his shop seeking repairs for their car's air-conditioning unit. When Khan informed them that he could not service that particular system and directed them elsewhere, the men allegedly became abusive. Khan called the Dial 112 helpline, prompting the men to leave. However, they returned shortly with several accomplices armed with sticks and clubs.
Attack on Owner and Workers
The group attacked Khan and three of his workers present at the workshop, leaving them severely injured. A video, possibly recorded by an eyewitness, shows a group of five to six men beating and dragging people by the hair while some bystanders, including customers, scream.
Legal Action
Khan subsequently filed a complaint at Dadri police station. A case has been registered under BNS sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 351 (criminal intimidation). Police said teams have been formed to identify and apprehend the accused.
