Police Efforts to Dismantle Drug Network

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Parmendra Dobhal stated that the arrests were made based on intelligence inputs as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the Cobra Gang's drug network. “Acting on leads, the Sudanese nationals were caught when they arrived in the Rajpur area to supply cocaine at high-profile parties,” he said.

Dobhal further revealed that police had previously arrested 13 members of the gang, including nine foreign nationals, and recovered 200 grams of cocaine worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore. “Further investigation is underway to identify and arrest other traffickers linked to the network. The vehicles used in drug trafficking have also been seized,” Dobhal added.

Cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were registered at the Rajpur police station against all three accused. The police continue to probe the extent of the drug network and its connections.
