Delhi Double Murder: Mother and Daughter Found Strangled in Bed Box
In a shocking and brutal incident, a 35-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were found murdered and their bodies concealed in a bed storage box at their residence in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar area. Discovery of the Bodies
Police received a PCR call around 10:30 PM on Friday, reporting the discovery of two bodies at a residence in Aali Vihar. A team from the local station immediately rushed to the scene and found the bodies hidden in a bed storage box. The victims were taken to AIIMS for further examination.
Initial medical examinations showed no obvious external wounds, but the postmortem conducted on Saturday revealed the cause of death as strangulation and smothering. The final postmortem report is still awaited, according to a senior police officer.
Husband's Harrowing Search
The woman's husband, who works at a printing press in Okhla, returned home to find the apartment door locked from the inside. He searched for his wife and daughter for nearly two hours, contacting relatives to inquire if they had gone somewhere. When his other children, who had been outside, returned crying, he alerted the neighbors.
Together, they forced the door open, leading to the grim discovery. Police suspect that an accountant residing in the same building may have committed the crime out of frustration after the woman snubbed his advances.
