Delhi Cafe Shooting: 24-Year-Old Faizan Killed Over Loan Dispute in Shahadara

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the community, a 24-year-old man was brutally shot multiple times on Friday night outside a popular cafe in Delhi's Shahadara area. The victim, identified as Faizan, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, prompting a heavy police deployment in the vicinity as authorities launched a manhunt for the suspects.

Police Investigation and Forensic Evidence Collection

According to official statements from the Delhi Police, the shooting was reported at 11:28 pm at the Welcome police station. Officers rushed to the spot at 'Mr King Lounge and Cafe' in Maujpur, where they found Faizan, son of Sehroj Alam, a resident of JMC Welcome, critically injured. He was immediately shifted to GTB Hospital, but doctors declared him 'brought dead' upon arrival.

The police have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act at PS Welcome. A forensic team has been deployed to collect evidence from the crime scene, while police teams are working tirelessly to identify and arrest the accused involved in this heinous crime. Further investigation is currently underway to uncover all aspects of the case.

Brutal Nature of the Attack and Victim's Struggle

Recounting the harrowing details, the victim's brother described the attack as exceptionally brutal. He stated that Faizan was shot three times, with police reports indicating that two magazine rounds were fired during the incident. One bullet struck him in the head and went right through, while two bullets hit him in the chest. Additionally, there were signs of a struggle, as Faizan had cuts on his hands, suggesting he might have been stabbed or fought back against his assailants.

Background of the Loan Dispute and Previous Complaints

Delving into the events leading up to the tragedy, the victim's brother revealed that Faizan was a very simple man who had taken a loan. When he was unable to repay it, a father-son duo came to their house and started fighting. The family had even filed a formal complaint at the Bhajanpura police station regarding the dispute, but no significant action was taken at that time, leaving them vulnerable to this violent outcome.

Family's Plea for Justice and Police Response

Expressing deep frustration and grief, the victim's brother emphasized the family's sole demand for justice. They are calling for the immediate arrest of both the father and son involved in the shooting and are urging authorities to take the strictest possible action against them. Police have confirmed that the suspects are currently on the run, and efforts are being intensified to apprehend them and bring them to justice.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about public safety and loan-related disputes in urban areas, underscoring the need for vigilant law enforcement and community awareness to prevent such tragedies in the future.
