Family Takes Extreme Step After Harassment Escalates

The Delhi Police has made significant breakthroughs in a shocking murder case that unfolded near railway tracks in West Delhi's Kirti Nagar area. Two family members of a young woman have been arrested for allegedly murdering her former boyfriend, who had been persistently harassing her and threatening to publish their intimate videos online.

According to police officials, the victim identified as Angad, 32, from Basai Darapur in Moti Nagar, was found dead with a deep cut on his neck on Monday. The investigation led to the arrest of Harish Chandra, 56, and Satyendra Chaudhary, 39, both residents of Kirti Nagar, while the woman's brother Amar remains absconding.

Relationship Discovery Sparks Family Conflict

Police revealed that Angad had been in a two-year relationship with the woman, which both had kept secret from her family. The situation changed dramatically around the time of Chhath festival when the family discovered their relationship.

"The girl's family discovered their relationship sometime around Chhath," stated a police officer involved in the investigation. "Angad and Amar's family had a discussion about the relationship and decided that the two must part ways. The girl was subsequently sent to her native village in UP's Basti after Chhath."

This separation triggered Angad's aggressive behavior. The police confirmed that Angad began repeatedly calling the woman and her family to abuse them. The situation reached a critical point when he started threatening to publish intimate videos of the couple online.

Murder Plot Executed Near Railway Tracks

The investigation uncovered that Amar traveled from Bengaluru to Delhi on November 14 specifically to address the situation. He stayed with his cousin Satyendra as they planned their response to Angad's threats.

Darade Sharad Bhaskar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), provided chilling details of the murder: "On the evening of November 16, Amar and Satyendra went to the victim's room but avoided killing him there due to the presence of CCTV cameras. They lured him to Kirti Nagar railway lines under the pretext of consuming liquor and resolving the issue."

After drinking together, the two men overpowered Angad and slit his throat using a paper cutter. Throughout this brutal act, Harish Chandra remained in constant contact with the perpetrators, according to police evidence.

Police Investigation and Evidence Recovery

The Kirti Nagar police registered a murder case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Their investigation revealed that the family felt police couldn't adequately protect them from Angad's harassment.

CCTV footage from near the victim's residence proved crucial, showing Angad last seen with Amar and Satyendra. Using technical analysis and local intelligence, police traced Satyendra to his residence and arrested him.

"On being questioned, he disclosed that Amar's father Harish Chandra was also involved in the murder plot. Harish was subsequently arrested," confirmed DCP Bhaskar.

The police have recovered substantial evidence including:

  • The blood-stained paper cutter used in the murder
  • The victim's mobile phone
  • Satyendra's blood-stained clothes

A massive search operation is currently underway to locate and arrest Amar, who remains the primary accused still at large. The case highlights the extreme measures some families might take when faced with threats to their honor and the limitations they perceive in legal protection systems.
