In contrast, during the first three months of 2025 alone, a total of 7,717 cases of drunk driving were reported, with monthly breakdowns of 2,484 in January, 1,776 in February, and 3,457 in March. Returning to the current year's efforts, a targeted three-hour operation conducted between 9 pm and midnight on April 18 resulted in the booking of 269 people for driving under the influence of alcohol. This simultaneous drive across all traffic ranges in the city also led to the impounding of 38 vehicles, demonstrating the police's commitment to curbing this dangerous behavior.
