New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday refuted reports that a fresh First Information Report (FIR) had been registered against the management of the Delhi Gymkhana Club, clarifying that no new case has been filed this year.
Background of the Case
According to police sources, the FIR in question dates back to 2022. The case pertains to alleged drone activity in a prohibited area that was deemed a security risk to the Prime Minister. Additionally, the FIR flagged an unauthorized Tiranga Yatra conducted in violation of legal directives.
Police Clarification
A senior police officer reiterated that no new case has been registered against the club management in the current year. The clarification comes amid media reports suggesting a recent legal action against the club.
The Delhi Gymkhana Club, a prestigious institution in the national capital, has been under scrutiny for various issues in the past. However, the police have emphasized that the 2022 FIR remains the only case on record, and no further complaints have been lodged.
This development underscores the importance of verifying information before reporting, as inaccurate claims can lead to unnecessary confusion among the public.
