Delhi Police Launches Weekly Public Hearing at All Stations from Saturday
Delhi Police Weekly Public Hearing at All Stations

New Delhi: In a bid to enhance public outreach and ensure prompt resolution of grievances, the Delhi Police has announced the organization of 'Thana Divas-Jan Sunwai' at all police stations across the capital every Saturday from 10am to 2pm. This initiative follows directives from Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and a circular issued by Commissioner of Police Satish Golchha.

Initiative Details

The program, set to commence next week, will provide citizens with an open platform to raise complaints, seek assistance, offer suggestions, and flag issues related to policing and public safety. Senior officers will be required to attend these hearings compulsorily, ensuring that grievances are heard and addressed promptly.

Mandatory Compliance

The circular also mandates time-bound disposal of complaints, regular review of pending cases, and the creation of citizen-friendly facilities at police stations. This move aims to strengthen the relationship between the police force and the community, fostering trust and transparency.
