Delhi Schools Face Second Bomb Threat Hoax in 3 Days, Security Scrambled
Delhi schools receive bomb threats again, all hoax

Delhi Schools Targeted by Bomb Threat Emails Again

India's capital witnessed another wave of panic on Thursday morning as several prominent private schools received bomb threat emails, marking the second such security scare within just three days. The Delhi Police confirmed that the threatening messages, which claimed explosives had been planted inside school premises, were ultimately determined to be hoaxes after extensive security sweeps.

Elite Schools Evacuated as Security Forces Respond

The British School and Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, along with Modern School on Barakhamba Road and The Doon School were among the educational institutions that found the threatening messages in their inboxes. The emails, sent by unidentified individuals, contained alarming claims that bombs had been "booby-trapped" inside the school buildings.

Police authorities immediately launched a massive security operation in response to the threats. Multiple bomb disposal squads, fire tenders and sniffer dog teams were dispatched to the affected schools as a precautionary measure. School administrators coordinated with security forces to evacuate all staff and students, moving them to open areas while thorough searches were conducted.

Disturbing Pattern Emerges in Capital Security Threats

The email communications contained explicit warnings urging immediate evacuation, stating that failure to do so would leave the responsibility of saving hundreds of lives with the authorities. This chilling language mirrored similar threats received earlier in the week.

This incident represents a concerning pattern, coming just two days after at least three district courts in Delhi - Saket, Rohini and Patiala House - along with two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)-run schools received comparable bomb threats on Tuesday. That previous threat, sent in the name of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, also claimed explosives had been planted on court premises and in schools, but was similarly confirmed to be a hoax after investigation.

The repeated nature of these threats has raised serious concerns among parents, school administrators, and security agencies about the vulnerability of educational institutions and the psychological impact on students. Delhi Police have intensified their investigation to identify the source of these malicious communications and prevent future incidents.
