Two Separate Stabbing Incidents in Delhi Claim Lives, Social Media Videos Emerge
In a disturbing series of events, two young men were allegedly stabbed to death in separate incidents across Delhi, with both cases involving petty disputes and the emergence of videos on social media platforms. Police have swiftly acted, apprehending multiple suspects in connection with these brutal crimes.
Dayalpur Incident: Scrap Collector Killed Over Rs 400 Dispute
The first incident occurred in the Dayalpur area of northeast Delhi, where a 26-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Kaif, a scrap collector, was fatally stabbed. The attack was reported on Friday, following an argument near a sweet shop.
According to police investigations, the altercation escalated from an ongoing monetary dispute over a mere Rs 400. Three youths have been detained by the authorities after conducting raids based on specific inputs. During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to the crime.
A video of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing the victim being attacked with knives by a group. Police have seized three knives used in the assault. "The dispute over Rs 400 turned violent, leading to the fatal stabbing," a police official stated, highlighting the tragic escalation of a minor financial matter.
Azadpur Mandi Case: Murder Video Posted on Instagram
In a separate and equally shocking incident, a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Azadpur Mandi area of northwest Delhi. The victim, identified as Nikki alias Nitesh, was attacked following a quarrel, with three persons stabbing him multiple times.
Police received a call on March 2 regarding the stabbing near Haiderpur Nahar. The injured man was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. What sets this case apart is the accused's brazen use of social media.
One of the suspects allegedly uploaded a video on Instagram after the murder, claiming responsibility for the crime and boasting about it. In the video, he stated that he committed the murder and would be going to jail for some time. Police have apprehended three people in this case as well, underscoring the growing trend of criminals flaunting their acts online.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigations
In both incidents, Delhi Police have demonstrated prompt action by conducting raids and detaining the accused. The investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to piece together the full sequence of events and motives behind these violent acts.
The emergence of videos on social media has added a layer of complexity to these cases, raising concerns about the influence of digital platforms on criminal behavior. Police are likely to examine these videos as part of their evidence collection process.
These incidents serve as a grim reminder of how minor disputes can spiral into fatal violence, exacerbated by the reckless use of social media. The community is urged to report any suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement to prevent such tragedies in the future.
