Delhi Woman Lured to Lucknow, Allegedly Raped and Forced into Prostitution
A shocking case has emerged from Lucknow, where a 20-year-old woman from Delhi has alleged a harrowing ordeal of being lured with the promise of employment, only to be subjected to rape, blackmail, and forced prostitution. The Gomtinagar police station registered a First Information Report (FIR) on Monday, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.
Complaint Details and Allegations
The complainant, a resident of Daryaganj in New Delhi, detailed in her statement that in 2021, she came into contact with an individual named Kamru Jamal, also known as Javed, who hails from Kishanganj in Bihar. This connection was made while she was actively searching for job opportunities. According to her account, Kamru offered to assist her in securing employment and specifically requested that she travel to Lucknow.
Upon her arrival in Lucknow, the situation took a sinister turn. The woman alleged that Kamru took her to a café located in the Gomtinagar area. There, she was reportedly intoxicated and subsequently raped. To compound the trauma, an obscene video of the assault was recorded, which the accused allegedly used as a tool for blackmail, threatening to release it if she did not comply with their demands.
Escalation of Abuse and Forced Prostitution
The complaint further states that after the initial assault, she was taken to a spa centre where other accused individuals—identified as Zafar Hayat Idrisi, Kamar Hayat Idrisi, and Aamir, among others—allegedly raped her and recorded videos of these acts. This pattern of abuse was not isolated.
The woman claimed she was forcibly transported to various spa centres in Lucknow, Faizabad, and other locations. At these establishments, she was compelled to engage in physical relations with multiple clients under duress. The accused allegedly charged substantial sums of money from these customers, profiting from her exploitation. Meanwhile, she faced threats and physical assaults whenever she attempted to resist or escape the situation.
Confinement and Investigation Status
Adding to her plight, the woman alleged that she was kept confined for several days, isolated from any form of communication. Her mobile SIM card was reportedly broken and discarded, effectively cutting off her ability to contact family, friends, or authorities for help.
Inspector Brijesh Chandra Tiwari of the Gomtinagar police station confirmed that a case has been officially lodged based on the complaint. The matter is currently under active investigation, with authorities working to verify the allegations and apprehend the accused individuals involved. The police are likely examining evidence, including any potential video recordings and witness statements, to build a strong case.
This incident highlights severe concerns regarding human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and the vulnerabilities faced by individuals seeking employment in unfamiliar cities. It underscores the urgent need for robust law enforcement action and preventive measures to protect potential victims from such predatory schemes.
