DGP Tadasha Mishra Conducts Security Review in Hazaribag for Ram Navami

Ahead of the upcoming Ram Navami festival, Director General of Police (DGP) Tadasha Mishra visited Hazaribag on Wednesday to assess security arrangements and inspect key procession routes across the city. This proactive move comes in response to past instances of communal violence during the festival in Hazaribag, underscoring the administration's commitment to maintaining law and order.

Enhanced Security Measures and Official Directives

Accompanied by senior officials, including Hazaribag DC Shashi Prakash Singh and SP Anjani Anjan, DGP Mishra directed the police and administrative teams to enforce strict vigilance throughout the festival period. She emphasized the importance of preventing any untoward incidents and curbing the spread of rumors that could disrupt communal harmony. Mishra expressed confidence that with coordinated efforts, the festival would be celebrated peacefully in Hazaribag.

During her tour, the DGP inspected sensitive locations such as Indrapuri Chowk, Jhanda Chowk, Bara Akhara, and Jama Masjid Road to evaluate existing security protocols. She highlighted the need for continuous monitoring of all activities during processions and instructed personnel to remain alert at all times to ensure public safety.

Community Cooperation and Advanced Security Infrastructure

In an appeal to citizens, DGP Mishra urged residents to cooperate with the administration and avoid falling prey to misleading information. She announced that the district would receive paramilitary forces and JAP jawans in required numbers to bolster security. "At the same time, people too should be responsible for maintaining peace and harmony," she stated, reinforcing the shared responsibility between authorities and the community.

Police sources revealed that elaborate security arrangements have already been implemented, including:

  • Deployment of additional police forces at sensitive locations.
  • Surveillance through CCTV cameras and drones for comprehensive coverage.
  • Real-time monitoring via control rooms to enable swift responses to any emerging situations.

These measures aim to create a secure environment, allowing devotees to celebrate Ram Navami without fear of disruption. The administration's focus on proactive planning and community engagement reflects a broader strategy to foster lasting peace during religious festivities in Hazaribag.
