Jaipur Airport Alert: Digital Gambling Cheat Device Sparks Panic, 2 Suspects Identified
Digital Cheating Device Found at Jaipur Airport, 2 Suspects

A sophisticated digital device designed to cheat in high-stakes card games triggered a major security alert at Jaipur International Airport earlier this week, leading police to uncover what appears to be a well-organized interstate gambling racket.

Panic at the Domestic Cargo Section

The incident unfolded on Tuesday night when vigilant personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were scanning domestic cargo parcels. Their equipment detected a suspicious object concealed inside a package. The item, shaped like a battery, immediately raised red flags.

The security team did not take any chances. They promptly sounded an alarm and informed senior authorities, including the Jaipur Commissionerate Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The domestic cargo section was secured as protocols for dealing with potential threats swung into action.

Device Revealed as High-Tech Gambling Tool

By Thursday, after detailed analysis, the city police revealed the true nature of the mysterious device. It was not an explosive but a specialized digital cheating apparatus used to defraud players in gambling dens.

"It is suspected that the device connects to a mobile phone application that reveals the cards other players are holding," explained a police official involved in the case. The gadget was found hidden between currency notes within the parcel.

Further investigation revealed its modus operandi. The device functions as an electronic transaction system capable of scanning specially modified decks of cards. During gambling sessions, it quietly transmits information about an opponent's hand to the cheater, giving them a near-certain advantage.

Interstate Racket and Arrests Loom

The discovery pointed to a larger, organized crime operation. Police believe the racket involves multiple groups working across state lines. One cell sources the prepared card decks, another manufactures the electronic cheating instruments, and a third organizes the gambling sessions where players are systematically duped and extorted.

Given the sensitivity of the find, multiple police teams were dispatched to Haryana and Delhi for investigation. Their efforts led to the identification of two primary suspects, who are now set to be arrested shortly. These individuals were detained and questioned extensively.

Authorities have also traced a lead to a man from the Delhi region who travelled to Jaipur specifically to book the parcel. The concealed device was being shipped to Hyderabad, indicating the racket's wide operational network.

A formal case has been registered at the Airport police station in Jaipur, with the investigation being handled by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sanganer. Police are confident this breakthrough will help unravel the entire network involved in this high-tech gambling fraud, which likely spans several states.
