According to the formal complaint filed, the accused individual, identified as Saravana Iyer, who is the son of school trustee Shiva Iyer, reportedly sent the teacher a series of obscene messages and videos. The harassment escalated when he allegedly pressured the educator for a physical relationship, creating an environment of fear and distress.
Escalation and Political Intervention
The situation intensified when the teacher, accompanied by her mother, sought assistance from local Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leaders. In response, MNS functionaries and party workers swiftly arrived at the school premises, staging a vigorous protest that lasted for over an hour. This demonstration created a tense atmosphere, drawing significant attention to the alleged misconduct.
Police Action and Trustee's Response
Following the protest, law enforcement authorities intervened by contacting the trustee, Shiva Iyer. He cooperated fully with the police, producing his son for questioning. Subsequently, Saravana Iyer was taken into custody as the investigation progressed. Police officials confirmed that the process of filing a First Information Report (FIR) is currently underway to formalize the charges.
