In a dramatic late-night operation, Rohtak police successfully apprehended a double murder accused following an intense exchange of gunfire near D-Park on the Delhi Road. The suspect, identified as Rahul, had been evading authorities for his alleged involvement in two separate murder cases that had shaken the local community.
The Dramatic Encounter Unfolds
According to police reports, the confrontation occurred around 10:30 PM on Tuesday when a police team on routine patrol spotted the suspect near the D-Park area. Upon being confronted, Rahul immediately opened fire on the officers, triggering a swift response from the police team. The exchange of gunfire lasted for approximately fifteen minutes before the suspect was successfully subdued and taken into custody.
During the intense shootout, two police constables sustained injuries from the suspect's gunfire. The injured officers were promptly transported to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) for medical treatment. Police officials confirmed that both constables are currently in stable condition and receiving appropriate care for their injuries.

Rahul, the apprehended suspect, was wanted in connection with two separate murder cases that occurred within the Rohtak district. The first case dates back to August 2022, where he was allegedly involved in a murder in the Sector 3 area of Rohtak. The second case involves another murder that took place in the nearby Makrauli Khurd village earlier this year.
Police investigations revealed that Rahul had been actively evading capture since these incidents, moving between different locations to avoid detection. The successful operation to apprehend him came after weeks of consistent intelligence gathering and surveillance operations conducted by multiple police teams working in coordination.
