In a shocking revelation that has sent ripples through India's entertainment and criminal underworld, a key accused in a massive drug case has confessed to organizing lavish rave parties for high-profile celebrities and gangsters across multiple cities.
The Confession and Key Revelations
Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, who was arrested following his deportation from Dubai last month, has made startling admissions to the Mumbai Police during interrogation. The accused, known by his nickname "Lavish" in narcotics circles, revealed that he systematically organized drug-fueled parties for film stars, fashion icons, and even notorious gangsters.
Officials from the Anti-Narcotics Cell's Ghatkopar unit, where Shaikh is currently in custody, confirmed that his confession includes naming several prominent figures. Among the most significant names disclosed is Alishah Parkar, nephew of India's most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
International Drug Syndicate Uncovered
The investigation traces back to March 2024 when authorities made a massive ₹252 crore mephedrone seizure in Sangli district of western Maharashtra. Shaikh's involvement came to light during this probe, revealing his connection to an international drug syndicate operating from Dubai.
Following a Red Corner Notice issued against him, Shaikh was deported from the United Arab Emirates and arrested by the crime branch. His extravagant lifestyle, marked by expensive cars, luxury watches, and designer clothes, earned him the moniker "Lavish" within drug trafficking circles.
Celebrity Connections Under Scanner
According to the ANC's remand application submitted to the Esplanade Court, Shaikh organized parties attended by an astonishing array of celebrities from different fields. The list includes prominent Bollywood actors Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and her brother Siddharth Kapoor.
Other notable names mentioned in the application include renowned film producers Abbas-Mustan, popular rapper Loka, social media influencer Orhan Awatramani (Orry), and Nationalist Congress Party leader Zeeshan Siddique.
The ANC is currently investigating whether other drug traffickers were involved in organizing similar parties for celebrities. Officials have indicated that they haven't ruled out questioning those named by Shaikh during the investigation.
Shaikh, a resident of Nagpada in South Mumbai, allegedly supplied drugs to participants at these high-profile events. The investigation continues to uncover deeper connections within what appears to be a well-established network linking the narcotics trade with celebrity culture and organized crime.
