In a decisive move against narcotics trafficking, Parsoli police in Bhilwara district froze properties valued at Rs 50 lakh belonging to a smuggler allegedly involved in drug trafficking. The action, taken on Friday, targeted assets believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of illegal drug trade in Chittorgarh district.

Accused Identified

The accused has been identified as Kamlesh Gurjar (29), a resident of Luhariya village. He faces multiple charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in cases registered in Chittorgarh and Barmer districts.

Operation Trinetra

Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh Yadav stated that this operation is part of Operation Trinetra, an ongoing campaign against narcotics in the district. The initiative aims not only to arrest smugglers but also to target properties acquired through illegal drug trade proceeds.

Following an investigation supervised by Begu DSP Anjali Singh, police submitted a proposal to the Competent Authority and Administrator, SAFEM (FOPA) NDPS Act, Delhi, seeking attachment of properties allegedly acquired through drug trafficking proceeds.

Properties Frozen

The authority approved the freezing of Kamlesh's share in agricultural land at Itawa village, a residential house in Luhariya registered in his father Bhairulal Gurjar's name, and two vehicles. Further action under the NDPS Act is being pursued.
