According to the police report, the vehicle involved was a Skoda sedan driven by 42-year-old Derrick Tony. Tony was allegedly driving at a very high speed from 18th Main Road towards 100 Feet Road. Police confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
The driver failed to negotiate a left turn, which caused his vehicle to jump over the road divider. In a horrifying chain of events, the speeding car first struck a two-wheeler before plowing straight into the exterior wall of a Barbeque Nation outlet.
