A case was registered by police in Bhopal early Saturday against a dumper owner, his father and their associates for allegedly threatening a woman mining officer, obstructing government work and attempting to pressure officials into releasing a vehicle seized for illegal murum transportation in the Bairagarh Chichli area.
Incident Details
According to Kajlikheda police, the incident occurred late Thursday night around 11:30 pm when mining inspector Suchi Mathur and her team were conducting checks on dumpers coming from the Neelbad check-post side. During the drive, the team intercepted a dumper illegally transporting murum near Bairagarh Chichli. As officials moved to seize the vehicle, the driver allegedly tried to flee after unloading the material, but the mining team managed to detain the dumper and brought it to Kajlikheda police station for further action.
Threats and Obstruction
Police said that shortly afterwards, dumper owner Rahul Yadav, his father Gyan Singh Yadav along with their associates arrived at the police station. They allegedly parked their vehicles outside the station gate, blocked the mining team's movement and pressured officials to release the seized dumper. The complainant alleged that the accused misbehaved with the mining officer in the presence of police personnel and other officials, threatened her with consequences and warned that they would get her suspended from service.
The accused maintained that the action initiated against them was wrongful. After creating a ruckus, when police intervened, the accused left the spot saying they would return with their documents.
Legal Action
Based on the complaint lodged by mining inspector Suchi Mathur, Kajlikheda police registered a case against Rahul Yadav, Gyan Singh Yadav and others. Police are verifying whether the dumper was carrying valid documents, including the requisite permit and royalty receipts for transportation of murum.
DCP (Zone-4) Adarshkant Shukla said a case has been registered. Since the offence carries a punishment of less than seven years, police will issue notices to the accused and summon them to the police station for questioning. He said if the accused are found to have a prior crime record or a history of similar violations, appropriate preventive action will be taken against them.
