ED Raids on Bajaj Brothers Continue for Second Day

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at the premises of Municipal Corporation contractors Inderjit Bajaj and Amit Bajaj, which began on Tuesday morning, continued until Wednesday evening. The ED teams arrived at the Bajaj brothers' residence around 7 am on Tuesday and have been conducting searches at both their house and office, located in the New Jawahar Nagar locality of Jalandhar.

Details of the Raid

Reports indicate that the investigating teams have seized several documents and electronic devices during the operation. The raids were initiated simultaneously at six locations, including Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bareilly, Noida, and New Delhi. The action is part of an ongoing investigation into Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora for alleged violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Background of the Bajaj Brothers

The Bajaj brothers have been recipients of major contracts in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and other states. They have also been working closely with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in Punjab, providing them with all required support. The ED's probe aims to uncover any financial irregularities and money laundering activities linked to these contracts and political connections.
