Murder of 70-Year-Old Man in Azamgarh Village
In a tragic incident, a 70-year-old man was discovered murdered in Shekhpura village, located within the Azamgarh city Kotwali area, on Thursday, according to police officials. The victim, identified as Bhuwal Chauhan, was found with his throat slit, indicating a violent attack.
Reports suggest that Bhuwal was asleep in his residence on Wednesday night when an unidentified assailant entered and slit his throat using a sharp weapon. The crime came to light on Thursday morning when family members discovered his lifeless body.
Upon receiving information, police personnel, accompanied by a forensic team and a dog squad, arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. As of now, the motive behind the murder remains unknown.
CO City Shubham Todi confirmed that the body has been sent for postmortem examination, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered. He further stated that four specialized teams have been formed to solve the case. Local residents are also being questioned to gather potential clues.
