Late-Night Burglary at Former BJP MLA's Showroom in Kanpur Captured on CCTV
In a startling incident, a late-night burglary occurred at the showroom of former BJP MLA Raghunandan Singh Bhadauria, located in the Hanumant Vihar area on Hamirpur Road in Kanpur. Thieves broke into the premises and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, as confirmed by local police authorities.
Details of the Theft Incident
The entire theft was meticulously recorded on closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed at the showroom. The footage clearly shows a thief entering the establishment under the cover of darkness and proceeding directly to the cash counter.
In the video, the perpetrator is seen rummaging through the cash drawer on the table, gathering the money stored inside, and then hastily fleeing the scene. The theft remained undetected until the following morning when the showroom was opened for business.
Police Response and Investigation Efforts
Upon discovering the burglary, staff found belongings scattered across the showroom, prompting an immediate alert to the Hanumant Vihar police station. Officers swiftly arrived at the location to conduct a thorough inspection of the crime scene.
Police have seized the crucial CCTV footage from the showroom's surveillance system and are actively analyzing it to identify the thief. Additionally, they are examining footage from other cameras in the surrounding area to gather more evidence and track the suspect's movements.
