A shocking incident of public molestation and assault has been reported from Indore, where a young woman was allegedly harassed and beaten by her former boyfriend. The event occurred in the jurisdiction of the Aerodrome police station, prompting immediate legal action.

According to Tarun Bhati, the in-charge of Aerodrome police station, the victim, a 21-year-old woman who works as a domestic help, was targeted on a busy road. The incident took place on Saturday. The woman had gone to drop her sister at a school on a two-wheeler. While she was returning and turning her vehicle, the accused, identified as Arjun, son of Jagdish Chauhan from Chapda village in Dewas district, intercepted her from behind.
He allegedly began verbally abusing her and demanded her mobile phone. When she resisted, the situation turned violent. The accused grabbed her by the neck and slapped her, causing both of them to fall onto the road along with their vehicles.
Background and Police Action
The victim informed the police that Arjun was her former friend and they had remained in contact for a long time. Disturbed by his persistent behaviour, she had stopped communicating with him. This decision is believed to have angered the accused, leading to the violent confrontation.
She further stated that during the attack, he pressured her to talk to him and threatened her with consequences if she refused. Based on her formal complaint, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Arjun under relevant sections of the law for assault and molestation.
