Details of the Gruesome Attack
The murder unfolded at Balram Chowk, where Irfan was riding a two-wheeler. According to preliminary reports, miscreants deliberately hit him with a car, causing him to fall. As he attempted to escape the assailants, they opened fire at him, further incapacitating him. In a final act of brutality, the attackers then stabbed him to death using deadly weapons, ensuring he had no chance of survival.
In their haste to flee the scene, the perpetrators' car lost control and fell into a roadside pit. Undeterred, they abandoned the vehicle and escaped in another car that was waiting nearby, leaving behind a trail of evidence and a community in fear.

Senior police officials, including North Eastern Range DIG Shantanu Sinha, Kalaburagi SP Addooru Srinivasulu, Additional SP Mahesh Meghannavar, DSP Shankargouda Patil, and CPI SC Patil, rushed to the spot immediately after the incident. Initial suspicions point towards an old rivalry as the possible motive behind the murder, given Irfan's prominent roles in local associations.
To apprehend the culprits, authorities have formed a special investigation team. This team is actively gathering CCTV footage from the town to track the vehicular movements of the suspects. Additionally, a comprehensive search operation has been launched in neighbouring districts to locate and arrest the miscreants involved in this heinous crime.
