Tragic Factory Fire in Faridabad Claims Lives of Two Young Workers
A horrific pre-dawn fire at a plywood and wood-processing factory in Faridabad's Pakhal village has resulted in the tragic deaths of two daily wage workers, raising serious concerns about industrial safety standards in the region. Blaze Erupts in Flammable Material Storage
According to police reports, the fire broke out around 2:30 AM at Dream Private Limited, a facility where substantial quantities of plywood and other highly combustible materials were stored. The flammable nature of the inventory created a tinderbox effect, allowing the flames to spread with alarming speed throughout the premises.
The two victims have been identified as Mohammad Aalim, aged 20, and Arvind, aged 26, both hailing from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. Disturbingly, both workers had joined the factory only a few days prior to the incident and were sleeping inside the facility when the fire erupted, highlighting the precarious living conditions often faced by migrant laborers.
Delayed Discovery and Recovery Operation
Fire brigade teams responded to the alert and battled the intense blaze for several hours. The ferocity of the fire initially made it impossible for responders to determine whether anyone was trapped inside the burning structure. It was only during a subsequent cooling and search operation on Saturday that police and rescue teams recovered the charred remains of the two workers from the devastated premises.
Police sources have suggested a heartbreaking possibility: the two young men might have initially escaped the fire but potentially returned to collect their belongings, only to become trapped as the flames intensified. The exact sequence of events remains under investigation, with authorities working to piece together the final moments of the victims.
Factory Owner Missing as Investigation Intensifies
Darpan Kumar, the in-charge of Dhauj police station, confirmed that the factory owner has fled and remains untraceable. "We are examining all angles in this case," Kumar stated, emphasizing that the owner's statement would be crucial to understanding the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
The bodies of the deceased workers have been sent to BK Hospital and Civil Hospital for comprehensive autopsy and forensic analysis. These examinations aim to determine the precise cause of death and identify any additional factors that may have contributed to the fatal outcome.
