Man Killed, Two Injured in Fatal Scuffle in Delhi's Seelampur Area

A violent altercation in northeast Delhi's Seelampur on Monday morning resulted in the death of a 65-year-old man and left two others injured, according to police reports. The incident, which escalated from a heated argument, has led to multiple cases being registered as authorities investigate the circumstances.

Details of the Fatal Incident

The deceased has been identified as Ismail, aged 65. Among the injured are his associate, Shahid Ali, 45, and Danish, who has been named as the accused in the murder. Police stated that they received information around 8:30 am from Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where Ismail was brought dead with stab injuries.

During the inquiry, it was revealed that in the morning, Ismail was sitting near his house with an associate, Mohammad Irshad, when Danish passed by. According to police, Ismail allegedly stared at Danish, triggering him due to a previous dispute. This led to a heated argument, during which Ali tried to intervene but was allegedly assaulted by Danish, who punched him in the eye.

Violent Escalation and Police Response

"Thereafter, the accused brought a knife and inflicted multiple stab injuries on the chest, abdomen and head of Ismail," said DCP (northeast) Ashish Kumar Mishra. Ismail was rushed to the hospital by locals, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Police added that after learning about the attack on their father, Ismail's sons, Zafar and Faizan, reached the spot, leading to another scuffle. During this clash, the duo allegedly attacked Danish and his family members, leaving Danish with injuries on his chest and other parts of his body.

The crime team and forensic experts inspected the scene and collected evidence, while CCTV footage from the area is being analysed to piece together the events.

Legal Actions and Ongoing Investigations

A case has been registered in connection with Ismail's murder, and Danish, who has been identified as the accused, is currently under treatment for his injuries. A separate case has also been registered against Zafar and Faizan for the subsequent assault.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full sequence of events and ensure justice is served in this tragic incident.
