Father, Son, and Friend Killed in Devastating Rae Bareli Car Crash
A horrific road accident in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals, including a father and his son, on Wednesday. The incident occurred when a speeding car lost control, violently collided with a tree, and overturned six times before finally coming to rest in a roadside ditch.
Wedding Celebration Turns into Tragedy
The victims had traveled to attend a wedding ceremony in the neighboring Pratapgarh district. According to police reports, Mukesh, 40, his 20-year-old son Divyansh, and their 20-year-old friend Ramu arrived at Rae Bareli railway station. They were picked up by the bride's brother, Chander, and his friend Abhishek Singh, who were driving the ill-fated vehicle.
Catastrophic Impact and Immediate Aftermath
While returning towards Sangipur, the car reportedly went out of control on the Rae Bareli–Pratapgarh road under the jurisdiction of Deeh police station. The impact of the crash was so severe that the front portion of the vehicle was completely mangled. Eyewitnesses described a scene of utter devastation, with the car's bonnet breaking off and being flung nearly 10 feet away, while the front frame was crushed beyond recognition.
Hearing the screams and commotion, nearby villagers rushed to the accident spot and discovered the five occupants lying around the wreckage. Deeh station house officer Mohan Saroj promptly arrived at the scene with a police team and coordinated the emergency response.
Fatalities and Critical Injuries
All five injured persons were immediately shifted to the nearby Community Health Centre for medical attention. Tragically, doctors declared Mukesh, Divyansh, and Ramu dead upon arrival. The two other occupants, Chander and Abhishek Singh, sustained serious injuries in the crash and were referred to Rae Bareli Medical College for advanced treatment, where they remain in critical condition.
This devastating incident has left the local community in shock and mourning, highlighting once again the critical importance of road safety measures and responsible driving practices on Indian highways.
